At four in the afternoon, my friend and I arrived at one of the traditional markets where I live. This afternoon happened not to go down, thus giving us the opportunity to take a walk around the city where we live. Because it wasn't raining yet we decided to go to the traditional market because there was one of our friends who was selling pancong cake there, we visited him and saw the situation and developed the business
Of course, what is called a traditional market, if my place is far from beautiful or clean, especially in the rainy season like now. Of course, traditional markets are like places of conflict. It is in a place like this that one of our friends is now running a business. When we are not at our friend's place, as usual when we meet with friends there must be jokes, stories and happy laughter. Because that's how life should be filled.
Pancong cake itself is one type of cake that is only and easily found where we live, because this cake is enjoyed by many people, including ourselves. I myself do not know when the first time this cake was at our place. This delicious and filling cake is also enjoyed by many children
"How is the process of making this pancong cake?" I asked our friend who sold it.
"First boil the coconut milk until it boils," explained our friend. "Take it off, let it warm to lukewarm," he continued. "Campus all ingredients except coconut milk, stir until smooth. add little by little until the dough is sufficient. Then let stand for fifteen minutes" added while lifting some pancong cakes that are ready to be enjoyed.
"Heat the edges of the pukis mold, then grease it with cooking oil. Wait until it is really hot, pour the mixture, then close the mold. Reduce the heat and wait six to ten minutes” explained our friend while sitting on the chair next to us. "Turn the dough, cook for two or three minutes. The mold does not need to be closed so that the cake is perfectly cooked and also makes the cake not easily stale. Then take it out and enjoy," continued our friend. while enjoying a cup of coffee.
"Like that?" I asked, with some curiosity. “We can add steamed coconut to the dough. But, the name is coconut steamed pancong cake,” added our friend with a smile and looked at the cake on the fire.
After a long time we were there, saw our friend getting busier with his shoppers. We decided to go home and leave him with the merchandise. However, he forced us to take home a few packs of our family cake pancong, free of charge. My friend and I tried to refuse if it was given for free, because our friend runs a business, we don't want him to make a profit. Then we tucked a few pieces into his pockets, and we hurried off so he didn't have time to return them to us.
This is a friendship we must help and understand each other, as he did to us, as well as what we do to a friend who sells keu pancong. Life has to give and take.
