Watercolor splashes

Hi, guys!

Today I want to show the preparatory stage of creating my paintings in watercolor + ink technique.

First, I stretch the sheet over the flatbed and completely cover it with water so that the watercolor can flow freely, forming natural patterns. With each step, I add a little more pigment, making certain places more saturated.

Then, when everything is completely dry, I continue to work with black ink, and the intermediate version looks like this:
