AI USAGE AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR THERAPY

Ever since the massive popularity of various AI chat and writing apps, I'm perhaps one of the few people who hasn't used one.
It's not even about use of AI itself, but functionality for me because the only things i would've been interested in using it for would've been to write and as a research tool and so far i still prefer typing the words myself.

I see it as a great way to easily get a look at different perspectives when researching or brainstorming since most of the materials used are from existing ideas.
There are many advantages to it usage which is probably why it's popularity has grown in momentum.

It's usage particularly as a chat tool is perhaps the most popular as people are finding more and more fun things to ask it.
I've seen many questions about different aspects of our lives from relationships, friendship advice to sexual related matters, some of which are actually hilarious.

But for every good thing, there's always the chance for misuse and in this case a dangerous one. There has been a growing popularity in its usage for mental health related matters.
I read an article about how people are turning to many of these AIs as a source of therapy.
Of course the reviews from people are showing positive results from it's usage, but my belief is that there's so much that isn't put into consideration.

Mental health is one of the most important part of our being. There has to be a study and regulation on what part of healthcare you can involve the use of AI.
For people struggling to afford proper therapy sessions, if there are specific AI tools specifically tailored for usage in healthcare then it would be an alternative to use this.

These applications do not necessarily know the difference between a good decision or a bad one, it can only use available data to give you the best possible result it could come up with. There's still the part of the human mind where sometimes intuition works better than what is logical.

I had to do a bit of research and was glad that people are already coming up with AI tools that can be used in healthcare as well.
As more research is being done to improve on what we have presently, it important to be careful how much health advice you're taking from an AI tool.

AI looks like a tool that could be used to bridge the gap between those who don't readily love to come out with their mental health issues, since you can use it from your comfort zone.
Until it has been certified as a good substitute for professional help, moderation is key in it's usage for health related matters.
