Have you read that line on the internet, especially on ad sites? The main idea is that to make money online you have to have a list of email addresses to which you can send your offer to, and hopefully sell what you are selling. Now, personally I have never had a list, mainly because I find it awkward to be emailing people whom I don't know with offers I probably can't even vouch are good. so i have never started to build any list.
So I really don't know if lists work. Now, I have tried to make money online and I have used mailers, safelists and viral mailers. Yes, they are about the same as lists but I find that these programs send emails to people who actually signed up to receive emails. As for results, well, what can i say? I am a failed marketer. i just suck at it.
But going back to lists, I think lists do work, but only, just as in real life, for the well connected. Those that have first knowledge of new programs, of new ideas about to be implemented, about the newest token. All the others who hear about these new opportunities through ads, emails or some other way, will make around zero for their efforts.
And this is because it really is a numbers game, the amount of people who do use the internet for buying opportunities is very limited and only few people get to sell them stuff. So actually I think that people who make money off of their lists is limited and the amount of money is not so big. Of course the big guys are always the exceptions.
So I do participate in marketing via popular advertising programs, just for the heck of it. Unless I get to be the first one to know about a program and advertise it hard, I am sure I will continue to be a zero earner. I make little by writing on platforms like BLURT, but it is much more than I make by marketing or advertising. So, to me at least, the money has never been in the list.
