Saludos a todos los miembros de la comunidad, ¿cómo están? Los animales a veces tienen una capacidad para dormir en unos lugares que nos llevan a cuestionarnos cuáles son sus estándares de comodidad. Mis mascotas pueden dormirse a sus anchas donde sea que les plazca menos en las habitaciones donde dormimos, pueden dormir en los muebles, en la habitación de invitados y en la habitación donde se guarda la gran mayoría de cosas que no se usan en el día a día, acá le llamamos ‘de los peroles’ debido a esto. Podría también establecerse como uno de los límites la mesa del comedor evidentemente por razones de salud pero de igual manera lo hacen, y los dejamos puesto que en realidad no hay manera de detenerlos, siempre se terminan subiendo de nuevo en la mesa por mucho que los vuelvas a bajar.
Greetings to all members of the community, how are you? Animals sometimes have an ability to sleep in places that lead us to question what their comfort standards are. My pets can sleep anywhere they please except in the rooms where we sleep, they can sleep on the furniture, in the guest room and in the room where the vast majority of things that are not used on a daily basis are kept, here we call it 'de los peroles' because of this. It could also be established as one of the limits the dining room table obviously for health reasons but they do it anyway, and we leave them since there is really no way to stop them, they always end up climbing back on the table no matter how much you put them back down.
Sorpresivamente el que más realiza esta práctica es mi perro, Toby, quien durante su momento de descanso en la noche acostumbra a subir sobre ella a dormir aprovechándose que a esas horas estamos durmiendo también. Durante el día sí se acuesta por todos lados, uno de sus lugares preferidos es encima de nuestros zapatos, supongo que por el olor de familiaridad, dicen por allí que las mascotas hacen esto para sentirse más cerca de sus dueños. A veces se acuesta afuera en la puerta de mi cuarto en los días que hace demasiado calor porque el aire fresco del aire acondicionado se cuela, no lo dejo entrar porque siempre que está conmigo en mi habitación termina subiéndose a mi cama y allí sí se me desata una alergia descomunal que no me permite hace nada en lo absoluto.
Surprisingly, the one who does this practice the most is my dog, Toby, who during his resting time at night usually climbs on top of her to sleep, taking advantage of the fact that we are also sleeping at that time. During the day he does lie all over the place, one of his favorite places is on top of our shoes, I guess because of the smell of familiarity, they say that pets do this to feel closer to their owners. Sometimes he lies outside my bedroom door on days when it is too hot because the cool air from the air conditioner sneaks in, I don't let him in because whenever he is with me in my room he ends up climbing on my bed and that's when I get a huge allergy that doesn't allow me to do anything at all.
Uno de mis gatos, Aquiles, me sorprendió cuando comenzó la siesta de la tarde en estos días encima de la mesa de trabajo que usa mi mamá para darle clases a los niños, entre otras funciones. Recientemente habíamos dejado unos bolsos en ese lugar porque mi papá había llegado de la calle con algunas compras, llevándoselos y así cargar mejor con el peso… aparentemente el cómo quedaron los bolsos se asemejó a una cama perfecta para el gato, quien no dudó en dormir encima, sin importarle nada de lo que le dijéramos. Los gatos definitivamente son unos maestros en dormirse en donde les plazca, reclaman los espacios como suyo, ya cuando lo vemos allí lo dejamos así por verlo tan apacible durmiendo, se nota que está cómodo y supongo que no hace daño que los use de cama siempre que se laven después.
One of my cats, Achilles, surprised me when he started his afternoon nap these days on top of the work table that my mom uses to teach the kids, among other functions. We had recently left some bags there because my dad had come in from the street with some groceries, taking them with him and thus carrying the weight better... apparently the way the bags were left resembled a perfect bed for the cat, who didn't hesitate to sleep on top of it, not caring about anything we said to him. Cats are definitely masters at sleeping wherever they please, they claim the spaces as their own, and when we see him there we leave him there because we see him sleeping so peacefully, you can tell he is comfortable and I guess it doesn't hurt to use them as a bed as long as they are washed afterwards.
