Missing our New Friend's Shop | Echando de menos la tienda de nuestro nuevo amigo

I went for a quick visit to the nearest shop to our office yesterday evening at 6PM, I found out that it was already closed. No sign of anything that they have moved their shop timing. Peeping on the glass wall, the inside was very clean no products left. I have asked someone in the neighboring shops, they said that the shop was already closed (for an unknown reason) for 5 days already. They have moved all their products without leaving notification/signage to where their new shop is located.

They were just like four months since they opened the shop. We were glad that they opened the shop and were selling vegetables and fruits. Most of my colleagues were buying from them because they offer lower prices compared to other markets here in our place.

I heard that some fruits and vegetables are from their own farm. If that’s the case, for sure the local residents here learned farming ideas from ex-pats like Filipinos or any Asian ex-pats. Anyhow, I hope we can find their new location again and I hope they just moved to another place, not because of the profit loss due to their very low pricing.

If the reason is a lack of customers, I don’t think so because the place is mixed with commercial and residential. Even some of the department managers in our office are buying from them as they have fresh vegetables and fruits.

Since we moved our office here in 2017, that building they were renting seems not good for any business. I mean all of the business owners who rented that space were unlucky. As far as I can remember, there were already 4 or 5 different types of businesses rented it, and none of them lasted one year.

Ayer a las 6 de la tarde fui a hacer una visita rápida a la tienda más cercana a nuestra oficina y me encontré con que ya estaba cerrada. No hay señales de que hayan cambiado el horario de la tienda. Mirando por la pared de cristal, el interior estaba muy limpio y no quedaban productos. He preguntado a alguien de las tiendas vecinas y me han dicho que la tienda ya llevaba cerrada (por una razón desconocida) 5 días. Han trasladado todos sus productos sin dejar notificación/señalización de dónde se encuentra su nueva tienda.

Hacía como cuatro meses que habían abierto la tienda. Nos alegramos de que abrieran la tienda y de que vendieran verduras y frutas. La mayoría de mis compañeros les compraban porque ofrecían precios más bajos que en otros mercados de la zona.

He oído que algunas frutas y verduras proceden de su propia granja. Si es así, seguro que los residentes locales aprendieron ideas agrícolas de los expatriados filipinos o asiáticos. De todos modos, espero que podamos encontrar su nueva ubicación de nuevo y espero que sólo se trasladó a otro lugar, no a causa de la pérdida de beneficios debido a sus precios muy bajos.

Si la razón es la falta de clientes, no lo creo, porque el lugar está mezclado con comerciales y residenciales. Incluso algunos de los jefes de departamento de nuestra oficina les compran porque tienen verduras y frutas frescas.

Desde que trasladamos nuestra oficina aquí en 2017, ese edificio que alquilaban no parece bueno para ningún negocio. Quiero decir que todos los propietarios de negocios que alquilaron ese espacio tuvieron mala suerte. Que yo recuerde, ya lo habían alquilado 4 o 5 tipos de negocios diferentes, y ninguno duró ni un año.
