Good day everyone.
These are images of the river in Epe, near Lasu (Lagos State University).
Some of the residents involve the fishing lifestyle, either selling or catching of the fishes. Most of the residents in this area are fishermen and women.
These are also some images of the waterside in Epe.
Here are some of the fishes caught by the residents of this place.
This is tilapia fish
This is a Wallago attu fish.
This is an image of shrimps
This is some of the crocodile that was caught, some people's eat crocodile meat, but some people's don't eat it, well I can't really say how the meat tastes because I haven't eaten one before.
This is a way that catch fishes, some use baskets, then the fish will swim and enter the basket and will be trapped there. But some of the fisherman use nets.
This is one of the canoes they use in fishing, but some travel in this same canoes
They also have water police guard that monitor the environment and if anything goes wrong when someone is still in the river, they will alert everyone so they can go rescue the person.
