I will be telling a few things you should watch out for when buying your next smartphone (either new or used).

A. BUDGET
This is the amount of money you have set aside to purchase a new or used phone.

To create a budget, you must have desired in your mind that you want one. So you check yourself for how much you can spend on a phone at that time.

Buy now pay later offer has helped a lot of people acquire phones they desire while eradicating the pressure of paying in lump sum. So you can purchase the phone now and pay the balance in 3 or 6 months later.

B. BRAND /OR ECOSYSTEM
The second thing you must consider is the brand or Ecosystem.

Let me talk of ecosystem first. Right now there are only 3 viable ecosystems.

  1. Apple Ecosystem
  2. Samsung Ecosystem
  3. Other Android Ecosystems

Let's start with Apple.
Once you buy an iPhone, you have entered the apple ecosystem, many many things you used to do, you will not be able to do them anymore because iPhones don't allow users to make a lot of changes to their ecosystem.

The same goes for Samsung phones, once you have the experiences of a Samsung product, you do not want to go back again to any other android devices, although it is changing but the gap is still to wide. Samsung has its own apps and optimizations and so on.

Other android also have their different ecosystems but they do not stand out enough to grab any attention. Or differentiate themselves enough to be worth nothing alone. You have
Xiaomi (Redmi, Poco)
Nokia
Oppo
Transsion (Techno, Infinix, Itel)
Gionee
And so on.
So you choose, which brand you want to be invested in. This is important because the brand will also determine the accessories you purchase.

C. BATTERY /OR FAST CHARGING
Please any phone you will be buy in year 2022 whether new or used should have at least 4000mah battery and 18watts fast charging feature. Or else it will frustrate you.

The exception is iPhones. They are very well optimized so their battery level is not usually in consideration.

Generally low budget phones meant for developing countries have bigger batteries like 6000mah and so on. There are phones with 7000mah batteries. That's just mind-blowing.

D. RAM & ROM
This is another important aspect of phones. Irrespective of any other attribute, you new or used phone should at least
4 GB RAM
64 GB ROM

That's the bare minimum. If not, after 6 months, your phone will start seizing, if you load it with apps, videos and pictures, and what have you, it will start hanging.

So look out for that.
Also look out for the next part of these tips.
