Black & White

We are a great family, bigger than expected and really diverse. We are brown, black, white, grey, three-colorured, etc... we don't actually care about colours though. We get on rather well with each other except when it's lunch or dinner time, then we go like crazy to find room on those plates spread all over around. There's food for everyone but we rush anyways, just in case :P

I'm not white, nor black, nor any other colour, I'm black and white, no matter what light you use, you'll see me and will not have any problem to identify me. Since I was a baby I felt I was special, I didn't understand those frenetic runs to eat nor violent moves or glances. I was (I'm currently) shy and that two legged giant scared me too much to get close the dish so I barely fed myself.
With time I noticed that the big legged monster wasn't as dangerous as it seemed, he was the one that kept feeding us and he sometimes shared some yummy surprises so I started feeling more comfortable and confident to eat with my family.

I was thin at first but after some time I'm getting more and more in a best shape and I'm almost as big as my brothers. I wonder if I some day will become as big as that giant so I wouldn't be afraid of no one. In fact, nowadays my family respects me and no one dares to hurt me. I'm a kid of course and I keep learning everyday a lot of lessons from my elders, they seem to be quite smart and efficient as well as patient with the youngest.

It's so exhausting to be playing all the day, wandering about, climbing the trees, jumping over the fences, running away from those naughty youngsters so I think I will take a rest, I love it!
