If I usually spend more time in coffee shops, today I chose a slightly different place to relax.
After returning from a friend's place who held a thanksgiving event and bought some necessities at the market, we turned towards Jalan Manek Roo, Meulaboh City. We plan to enjoy a cup of bandrek. My wife said she knows one of the places in the Kuta Padang area. He said, in addition to serving delicious bandrek, the place is also comfortable to relax. Incidentally, he was just there yesterday.
At first glance this place does not look like a warung or cafe. In the spacious courtyard of the house, the tables and chairs are neatly arranged. Some of them are also placed on the terrace next to the house. In addition, there are also four small huts with long tables and benches with their backs to the fish pond. Guava trees, breadfruit and some coconut trees make the atmosphere cool.
We chose a sitting position under the guava tree. The waiter came and handed over the menu list. I ordered a small glass of hot bandrek, while my wife ordered a large glass of warm bandrek, plus a portion of fried banana cut into small pieces and a bowl of dumplings.
Hmm.. it tastes really good. This drink is made from natural ingredients such as ginger, lemongrass, cinnamon, and some nuts to add to the taste sensation. Bandrek is very good to drink to maintain body condition, especially in the midst of uncertain weather changes like today.
My stuffy nose because of a cold that hit me the last few days, immediately felt relieved. The spicy ginger taste plus the fragrant aroma of lemongrass and cinnamon, makes the body relax.
