Indonesia Saves Russia from US Siege in Ukraine

Relations between Indonesia and Russia have existed for a long time.

Even though Indonesia is close to Russia, when Moscow invaded Ukraine, Jakarta strongly criticized it.
Indonesia calls for Russia to stop the war in Ukraine for violating the UN Peace Charter.
At the UN general assembly, Indonesia also expressed its objection to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Here, Indonesia actually shows that they are pro-peace in accordance with the mandate of the 1945 Constitution.
In addition to pressuring Russia to stop the war, Indonesia also maintains communication with the Ukrainian government.
Indonesia asks Kiev not to hesitate to start peace negotiations.
If Kiev still insists on war then Russia will also continue to attack Ukraine.

Indonesia even invited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian president Vladimir Putin to come to the G20 meeting in Bali in November 2022.
But the first name would not come directly and instead asked Indonesia to provide weapons assistance to Ukraine.
This is clearly disappointing, Indonesia wants to end the war instead of providing weapons to prolong the fighting.
The reason is that so far European countries have even provided weapons assistance to Ukraine.

The United States (US) became the initiator who encouraged the Allied countries to send weapons supplies to Ukraine.

The number is quite a lot, namely 40 Leopard 2A4.
Prior to this intention, Spain had delivered 1,370 Instalaza C-90 anti-tank grenade launchers, machine guns, 700,000 ammunition and one RG-31 Nyala 4x4 mine-resistant armored vehicle in an ambulance configuration.
But suddenly Germany forbade Spain to send its Leopard 2A4 to Ukraine.
"Germany doesn't seem willing to send its weapons to Ukraine for free.

Or at the very least, they don't want to transfer their technology there, not to mention fears that arms transfers to Ukraine will worsen relations with Russia, citing Defense View.
German weekly magazine, Del Spiegel reported a ban on this.
"The Spanish Government's plans to supply 40 German-made Leopard tanks to Ukraine are likely to be delayed a bit.
Spain needs approval from Germany to do this. but if allowed, this is the first time a NATO member has sent tanks to Ukraine.

But it seems that this Spanish intention has to stop," Der Spiegel reported.

When the news of the transfer of Allied weapons to Ukraine was overwhelming, Moscow suddenly announced shocking news.
On June 30, 2022, the Russian government stated that Indonesian President Joko Widodo would visit Moscow to meet Vladimir Putin.
This is the first time for Russia to receive a state guest officially after Moscow invaded Ukraine.
