About six days ago, I noticed that the normal curations done by the @ctime account on new posts had been stopped. I actually felt it was a mix up on that particular post, and so I went a-digging around.
Visiting the newly written posts tab, I scrolled through and noticed the same thing. None of these new posts were curated by the @ctime account. This was a pretty weird occurence.
As such, I had to go to the source to find out what the matter truly was. It was then I saw the post made from the Curation Time account. Something about protesting against authoritarianism and powering down.
An account with over 5 million Blurt power being powered down and sold off meant 1 million plus tokens would be pushed into the market every week for four weeks!!
Definitely, the price of Blurt was going to be affected one way or the other. And while I wanted the price to keep climbing, I didn't mind going back to the October 2021 era where I was able to buy Blurt tokens at a very low price.
So I quickly spoke to some potential investors who helped me gather up some funds, not so much but above 7k dollars. I was not going to let this promo passe by.
And so, I kept keeping tabs on the account and counting down to his first power down. I had several tabs opened on Hive-Engine and Ionomy, and equally had my Probit app up and running. Nobody was going to beat me to this rain of freebies.
Fortunately and unfortunately, about two days ago, I noticed the @ctime account had begun curations once again. On visiting the account to ascertain what had happened, well, one of the most prolific curators on Blurt was back and had halted the power down.
It was a rush of mixed feelings for me, sadness and happiness engulfing me at the same time. While I was happy that Ctime was back, I was sad that I was missing out on my chance to gulp up a large amount of Blurt tokens at very cheap prices, just like @offgridlife does on a daily basis. It was déjà vu for me once more, having experienced almost same thing with the Hive token.
All in all, I'm pretty glad that the @ctime account is back and curating. Hopefully, the concerns raised by you and every other person surrounding the coal list will be fine tuned in such a manner that would lay all fears to rest.
