Ash wednesday
This is a day that marks the beginning of lent in the catholic church. This is when jesus fasted and prayed 40 days and 40 nights in the forest.
The ash wednesday begins with the celebration of a mass and in between the mass the ash is placed on our forehead,the priest says " remember you are dust and to dust you shall return (ecclesiastes 3:20).
Or he says repent ye therefore and be converted,that your sins maybe blotted out,when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the lord (acts 3:19).
In this lenten period we should endeavor ourselves in fasting,prayers, alms giving, showing love and care, counseling,etc.

Wow I remember the good old days when we use to run around the church just to put ashes on our forehead.
Don’t forget and quarrel this period oh cause temptation plenty.
