Where I come from, aside from white collar jobs, a lot of people involve in other activities that could earn them their daily living. These could vary from person to person and from place to place. It is however generally called # SIDE HUSTLE.
For my side hustle, I am a farmer. I keep birds, I have a piggery and I sell yams. Tubers harvested from my farm.
The harsh economic situation and high inflation of prices for food produce leaves one no choice other than to delve into farming and selling of food produced from ones farm, especially when you are from Benue State, # THE FOOD BASKET OF THE NATION.
Today I want to talk only about my yams. I shall blurt about my poultry and piggery farms some other day. So since last month, I have begun harvesting and selling my yam tubers. I transport it to Makurdi where I live and proceed to take some down to # Swange Market, where I have a stall.
To enhance swift sales, I also advertise on social media platforms, and I get a lot of calls from friends who require I do home delivery to them.
Some time I get to weigh bill out of the State to friends living in Benin and Aba where the cost of food stuff is unbelievably sky rocketed.
To enhance once hustle as a farmer and a marketer, one needs to belong to organisations and cooperatives, where one could have a louder voice to solicit for grants that could help grow the hustle. To that effect, I am a member of the Favoured Farmers Association.
Do you crave roast yam? When last did you eat boiled yam and palm oil? Are you a pounded yam lover? You can call me for your yam deliveries at prices as low as #400 to #1500. I am available at 09064613519. Make I see small money invest for my blurtwallet biko.
