Amanda was a girl coming from a beautiful home with two lovely parents, she was the only child of her parents.
Amanda was a very bright child and made her parents proud in her academics and all her teachers had good comments to make as she was very hard working when it came to academics being the best student in her class always.
Amanda graduated as the best student in her school, She was even granted scholarship for her secondary education her parents were just so proud they would talk about her with their friends always.
Since she was little she had always wanted to be a lawyer so she could defend many who were helpless.
Even through her secondary education, she maintained her excellence and perfect results. Graduating as one of the best students in her school, she sought to pursue her dream of studying law.
After concluding law school she had come back to her parents, they were so proud though it seemed things were different.
Amanda observed a distance between her parents, Since dad lost his job he had changed, drinking and keeping late nights, he would sometimes come back and beat mom.
She was surprised to see the man who showered me with so much love, lay his hand on a woman, her mother for that matter.
Every time she sees her mom lying defenseless in the living room, it provoked her so bad she would sometimes consider taking him to court.
She thought to her self "that would be the last thing I would do" until one night, Dad came late as usual and mom asked where he had gone, it was as if a beast had possessed dad he beat her to the extent she was hospitalized.
Looking at her mom lying hopeless in the hospital bed, she thought to herself 'i must do this', she took her dad to court though he came back begging when he sobered up, I wasn't ready to back out.
The long and exhausting cause went all I came at him with all I had and won the case, 10 years imprisonment wasn't enough to punish him for what he had done.
As he was dragged out of the court to be transferred to the prison tears rolled down his cheek, as she looked him in the eye she thought to herself "what have I done" who would have thought she would bite the hand that fed her, tears rushed down from her eyes.
The doctors called her that night but she was drinking trying to suppress the pain and guilt weighing her down.
The next morning she rushed to the hospital only to find her mother lying dead on the hospital bed, it was the worst pain she had ever felt in her entire life.
She lost two parents in less than 48 hours at least one was still alive she didn't have the guts to confront her father.
She had no reason to live anymore, she used her hands to tear her parents apart, she couldn't bear the pain so she resulted in suicide.
So sad how Amanda's story came to an end
