Duck farming is increasing day by day in different districts of our country. Many people are making additional income for the family by rearing ducks in bill areas, open water bodies and fish farms. Unemployed youth, young women, widows and even old men are involved in rearing these ducks. The demand is being met by eggs and meat. The duck rearers said that they started the journey by rearing 5/6 ducks. Since it is profitable, it has been increasing since then. The cost of raising ducks is low. It costs 80 to 100 taka to raise a duck until it lays eggs. At the age of 4/5 months, a duck lays 250 to 280 eggs.
This is how the people of the village are becoming economically independent by rearing ducks.
Yesterday I took these pictures of ducks from a village.
