High quality content … is it really necessary?

in blurt •  2 years ago

I totally agree with the perception of @zulma and @ozelot47. I have read books that have lousy content but amazing titles, as well as other books that have poor titles but rich content. Like on Blurt, I've read really insignificant content, but it's supported by "curators" with high voting power, and other really wonderful posts, but it's been invisible to others.

So... Where is the quality? Probably in the perception of who writes and who reads; Whoever writes assumes that his work is great, and whoever reads shows it with his vote and comment. And... What happens to the one who votes without reading? I think he is one of those who has a select group to vote for without looking at whether what he writes is good or not. This is what I have seen on all the platforms where I have been.

I’ll be honest I have done it, I don’t think many of us have time to read these huge 10 paragraph long essays all the time that repeat themselves.

Are we all just guilty of upvoting long posts tho and calling that ‘high quality’ when no one’s even rly reading it
