I never considered myself a "prepper" in that hardcore interpretation of the term, but it's definitely good to be working on some degree of sustainability and self-reliance. The inflation is definitely scary... the small "blessing" we have is that I am reaching an age (63, next month) where I qualify us for a variety of retiree discounts/benefits on things like our property taxes, insurance and such. We'll take what we can legitimately get from "the system" for as long as we can.
Meanwhile, our garden provides a good 200-250kg of fresh food every year, and my wife is quite good at the whole "preserving for winter" thing. Strange that we have to do these things in these allegedly "civilized" days of "prosperity!"
My little garden here in Arizona is baking now in our 90-100 degrees and no rain but hopefully our "rainy" season will start in a few weeks. Makes me miss my great homestead garden back in rural Massachusetts where we could live off the bounty.
Oh lala! You have gone step by step managing to grow your plants, the green looks beautiful. Thanks to the translator I was able to understand everything you communicate.
This garden will give you all you need for food, because when you give love to the earth as you are doing, it returns twice as much.
You and your family will be fine, protect your strength and your hopes. I send you good wishes and that they continue to fill your home with beautiful plants.
Good vibes.
It has been hard work and at the same time wonderful.
Step by step you created your own garden, with patience and perseverance, and the fruits will be abundant because you have done everything out of love for your family, and because you always find a way to show yourself that you can achieve anything.
Congratulations that was a nice tour to your lush green garden. It was so impressive! I enjoyed the tour. I got envy with your produce. Anyway, you have a nice, clear voice. Good job!👏

Sounds like a good partnership with you bringing in a lot of produce, and her doing a lot of preserving etc.

Sending good vibes to your little garden baking in the sun... maybe we should try a rain dance?
