Time lapse of my garden growing for 80 days

in garden •  last year

80 days ago, this was frozen grass. Now, it's a lush garden full of food. I'm growing tropical plants in Northern Canada, and it's about to get hotter!

I have taken a photo from my deck each afternoon I worked in the yard, and now I can put them together into a GIF image. We can appreciate the progress I made over almost 3 months in just 10 seconds:

The empty spaces have now been filled in with tomato seedlings, which will really take off as the heat cranks up next week. I'll do another time lapse later in the Summer!

That's the little round garden which appears at the back near the end of the time lapse. That's a ring of healthy sunflower seedlings, with a small and sickly pumpkin plant in the middle. I talked about it in my previous post. It has survived, but has yet to really start growing and thriving.

The shock caused it to flower early, but that will fall off, and the plant should go back into vegetative mode. That means more stems and leaves. It can flower in a few weeks, there's plenty of time.

I hope you enjoyed those several dozen photographs, crammed together into a few seconds. It has been a pleasure doing the work, taking the pictures, and creating the time lapse. Stay tuned for the next big garden update, and keep on growing!

You really have done an amazing job with your first year garden here. I'm so happy for you all.

You inspired me to plant tomato plants. Mine are still seedlings. I still haven't transplanted them to the final ground.

That's great to hear, I love inspiring people to try more growing food at home. Good luck with your seedlings, I hope they do well.

Yes, your garden is in lush green and you have plenty of food when the right time comes! Well done.

Your pumpkin needs time to adjust after the transplantation. But I have seen small buds or leaves growing, it will survive. ♥️

Nearly 3 months down the line and you have transformed everything into a home of different garden.

Looking absolutely awesome buddy! 😍🌱

Maybe you should consider adding some nutrients around the squash plant and see how much water you are putting on it. They are the only two things that could help the leaves to be a little yellow.

On the other hand... all this time has been an expectation for me, while I wait for the result of your work, which I trust will be a resounding success, and that next year it will be faster because of the experience you get from this first attempt that it will do its job easier.

As time goes by the environment of your garden becomes more beautiful. In three months time your garden is progressing in perfect order. From now on, the amount of greenery in your garden will increase as time goes on.

The pumpkin plant in your garden seems to have died due to the hot weather. Alhamdulillah now seeing your Kumbha tree alive and giving both flowers and fruits.

The surrounding pumpkin tree looks wonderful in the garden. A flower has bloomed on the pumpkin plant but I can see that it is withering. This is due to the hot sun in your garden.

Your garden environment could not be green in eighty days. Since the weather is not cold, even if you want to make a garden, it takes a little time to get the greenery.

If you grow tropical plants in northern Canada, your garden is going to be hot, so see if the weather slowly cools. Plants do not green well in extreme heat. And it seems that the plants are dying for lack of water.
