I actually discovered it on a relatively fancy restaurant and was hooked: the irony is that I eat most my food raw yet eat one of the normally raw things cooked sometimes 🤣

I cook lettuce all the time. I love iceberg lettuce both sauteed and grilled. I understand Ramsey's objection about the lettuce not being properly cleaned, but if the dressing was good, I think I would have liked that salad. I hate dry chicken too, so I'd agree with him there. And I would definitely not have been quite so rude as to get the entire dining room's attention while he dissed his dish! That was very bad behavior, and I would have asked him to pay his check and leave.
To be fair, they let us in the video look to be rude to me. I didn’t really see that it was cooked at all when I’ve eaten cook lettuce. It’s gone completely limp and you can tell if it’s been cooked. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen Gordon Ramsay show, but I mean this is part of the entertainment really it’s pretty much at least half set up with them, bringing the people in at night et cetera but I am surprised that he’s never heard of cooked lettuce before because I had it in quite a nice restaurant in London
Nah I don't watch those things. If they are all staged, what is the attraction? These things make me feel embarrassed for someone. I can't stand the guy now. I'll pass in the future on anything with him in it.

I used to sneer at the idea of cooking lettuce and then recently I was in a fancy restaurant and on the side I got charred lettuce and it was incredible! It totally rounded off the dish 😀
I bet Gordon wouldn't make a fuss these days.
