There is always war. It just became more obvious. The war against the mind to be concious is an ongoing war since the forced existence of man (Check Sumarian history).
Paint your feelings. Art comes from the struggle. Its just harvesting it that is required. Listen not to that little voice in the head that says "give up. painting is pointless now". Its Satan speaking (the ego aka the adversary).
We can understand your situation. Take care of yourself, one day all will be well.
