THURSDAY DIARY - HOW I SPENT MY YESTERDAY 🙃

Hey guys😊.
I've been back home for a few days now, but I've been a bit occupied. My friends decided that they were going to visit me on Thursday, being yesterday. It happened to be the same day that I was to make meatpie at home, so I felt it would be nice. It's been a long while s ok nice i last baked anything, so i was a tiny bit anxious that i would flop an mess things up😅. I even had to take a look at my food journal again👀.

The day before, i went to the market with my mom so that i could buy the necessary ingredients for the meatpie.

So Thursday morning, after doing my chores, having breakfast and taking my bath and stuff, i set out to chop the vegetables (carrots and onions) and Irish potatoes. I had help from my little brother, and we finished in no time. Then i boiled the meat with onions, curry, a single maggi cube and thyme. It smelled really nice 😋. While the meat was boiling, i was preparing the dough. Rubbing fat and flour, then adding a little water. I got so carried away that i forgot to take pictures, my apologies 😪. But it was fun making it, while my little brother was watching and telling stories 😂.

Then when the meat was boiled, i took all the pieces out, and left them to coola while before chopping to little pieces. Then immediately, i used all the chopped ingredients, including the meat, with oil and some seasoning to make the fillings. I forgot to add another maggi cube🤦. Then i rolled out the dough to make the meatpie proper 😙. I greased the baking tray and placed all of them inside.

You know how the bible said "and God looked upon all that he created, and it was good"? That's how I think i felt when I saw the results 😩😂. At this point, my friends hadn't arrived yet, and i assumed they'd planned to run a little late since they were to be here by afternoon. Anyways, they arrived by something around 4pm. Again, i got too carried away to take pictures 😅. But yh, it was fun having them around.

They stayed a while, then i escorted them halfway back. I ended the day making hollow rice for dinner, and binge watching videos with my brother before he slept off.
