I don't believe I always make the wisest choices. For instance, it looked simple and enjoyable when I convinced myself in the past to manage our very small financial portfolio completely. But the truth is that I cannot make the best investments because I am too emotionally involved. I require the expertise and objectivity of a seasoned financial planner. I will eventually find myself unhappy and alone if I continuously make life decisions on my own. A healthy mistrust of oneself promotes a healthy faith in God and others.
Even after receiving salvation through Christ, he (Paul) was still drawn away from God's control of his will by his propensity to sin. Pride awakens the flesh, but humble trust in Jesus puts it to death. Paul's ability to immediately confess and repent of sin increased as his spiritual maturity increased. He experienced the entire depth of Almighty God's hatred of sin as the self-described "chief of sinners." Sin will not be our downfall since God delivers us via our Lord Jesus!
Do you occasionally find yourself debating in your mind between two opposing ideas?. If you let sexual smoldering die outside of marriage, you will suffer horrendous burns. Not setting behavioral limits is foolish and careless. Be skeptical of choices made without intelligent advice.
The struggle between doing the disciplined wise thing and the pragmatic foolish thing never really goes away until paradise. It even gets worse if you strive to have a pure heart toward God and other people. So, continue to read the Bible regularly. Soak your mind in reality till it permeates your entire being. Confess your shortcomings to close friends who will keep you safe from yourself and who love you. Put your pride aside and pay attention to godly advice. Become a Christ-only believer. Only he has a deeper understanding of your heart than you do. Obey the Spirit's guidance. Avoid placing your own trust!
No creo que siempre tome las decisiones más sabias. Por ejemplo, parecía simple y agradable cuando me convencí en el pasado de administrar completamente nuestra pequeña cartera financiera. Pero la verdad es que no puedo hacer las mejores inversiones porque estoy demasiado involucrado emocionalmente. Requiero la pericia y la objetividad de un planificador financiero experimentado.
