The author was in serious positive belief of the role identity plays in habit formation.
If the actions we take in a daily basis is in alognment with who we are , the actions will seem to be effortless.

Also , in the opposite direction , if the actions we take or the habits we are trying to imbibe is in the opposite direction with who we are , then it will be difficult for us to imbibe , adopt or maintain . we will definately need a great willpower to maintain this.
