This can be defined as making a choice in the presence that will lead to the control of your behavior in the future. With this method , you limit your future options , thereby making it easy for you to stick with the good habits.

A perfect example of this is if you feel like you are being distracted too much by social media , you can delete the app from your phone. So you see , this single action will limit your choices you will have to make in the future. If you notice that you waste time on certain websites , you can use website blockers to block those sites. Pay for gym class in advance , this makes you more likely to engage in the gym because you don't want to loose money. This strategy called the commitment devices helps you to get rid of decision fatigue , allowing you to create a system were the easiest option is the one that alings with your goal.
