Many individuals have this habits of placing too much focus on the outcome of the habits they are trying to adopt. Someone who wants to lose weight focuses too much on the "losing weight" rather than eating healthy food which are the process of losing weight.
Focusing more on the process and not the outcome allows us or should i say makes room for more sustainable growth. Don't just place your mind on the end goal , but check you are consistent with the habits.
