Wow..what a lot of topics for today's pub. I'll answer some of them.
For me, perfect weekend is where I can go outside and enjoy the time with my family. A trip to highland is perfect. We can enjoy the cool weather at a pine forest near the lake and the mountain as it background. Playing with my childs and chit chat with others, enjoy our food and forget about stressed day at work for a while.

In short, I know blurt after my brother @ayjoe told me about it and it's potentials. No need more time to think, then I decided to join. I love to read and I want to share my writing too. Before, I did blogging at ekads.net but it didn't work well. When I heard about blurt, why didn't I just give it a try.
Have you ever been late for a final exam? it was the final semester exam when I was in college. When the schedule was distributed I only read it once without ever checking back. As I recall, the first week of all exams was in the first session and then the second week in the second session.
On the second week of the first day, I went to campus a bit late because I knew the schedule was for the second session. As soon as I got to campus, it turned out to coincide with the end of the exam. I was surprised and then checked my schedule, it turns out that that day I got the schedule for the first session of the exam. OMG..
Fortunately, the lecturer was kind enough to give me the opportunity to did exam myself in her office under direct supervision.
At that time all my friends laughed at my negligence/stupidity for not paying attention to the schedule.

A pine forest near a lake with the mountain at the background sounds so beautiful and surreal. I think the air would indeed be fresh and clear there. I'd love that experience as well. And thankfully you had a kind lecturer, so it all worked out in the end.😊
The cool and fresh air can make our body and mind to relax. Isn't that the goal of the weekend?
At the time of the announcement of the grades, I was at the top although not the highest score. I am very grateful to be given the opportunity to test at that time.

Going hiking is always beautiful with family and friends. Such a weekend is priceless you know. The fresh air on the mountains and the far sights are always a treasure to behold.

Yes @me2selah, it really pays to have a kind hearted lecturer otherwise others would give you an automatic carryover or spill over of courses.

Wow @ekads I can imagine how frustrated you would be at the discovery that you completely misunderstood the exam schedule. In fact, for some folks, that's enough reason to destabilize them and indeed affect their performance even if they had an opportunity like you deed to write again. But am glad you made it. Exams are no funny moments while schooling but ironically, it makes schooling what it is. cheers buddy.
When I found out that I misunderstood the schedule I was very confused and afraid that I would fail the course. Fortunately, my lecturer gave me the opportunity to take the exam under her direct supervision.
Now that so long has passed, I can laugh at my stupidity. 🤣🤣🤣

I also experienced being late on my exam when I was in high school due to incorrect alarm setting, instead of "am" my alarm was set on "pm". It was a horrible experience for me.
So, how about your exam then?

Blurttribe Challenge
Hello everyone and to all of my friends here in blurtplatform.
The question that I would like to choose is..
What's the name of that favorite food you can't live without?
For me, I like sweet foods very much just like this cake. We made it last night, and since when I was a kid, I always eat sweet foods just like candie, chocolates and cakes.
For me cake is life, everytime I went to the supermarket, I always remember to buy a slice of cakes. I always remember and monitoring my blood sugar.
I love cakes that is why, I studied as a cookery here in our place and Im happy that I learned more about making cakes and other sweet foods and snacks.
Before I end up my comment, I want to thanked @jurich60 for notifying this in the group. This challenge or contest is very interesting and enjoyable for blurters.
I like sweets too 😍 Every time I feel bored I eat sweets like chocolate, ice cream and cake. Eat sweets but in moderation. Too much is not good.

What would your perfect weekend look like?
My perfect weekend is swimming at the beach!
I love the beach, the sea waves the sound soothes me, the blue water, the vast open sea, the view of the cloud forms that change every minute, I love to eat any food we bring, I love that my feet feel the fine sand and fresh wind blowing and enters my lungs really fresh feeling as in and am dreaming to own a property beach. Now, including in my prayers I have the source to buy that property. May the universe grant it.

Awesome way to spend a perfect weekend Ate! I miss going to the beach too😍
I join you in that prayer, my friend, for the beach is certainly the best getaway ever. When you step off the shore and into the water, it's cool at first, and then you sink in and the sea folds you in and it feels like there's no other place in the world you'd want to be. I tend to liken the sea to a female and the waves that break on the shore to the lace edges of her skirt. This picture is awesome, by the way.

Oh mine. Beaches are the best. The water bodies have a way of appealing to the human soul and revitalizing us. You just nailed it with a great description, because the fine sand, the sound of the ocean current, the waves, the onshore and offshore winds make a fine blend of a beautiful experience. it is tranquil and therapeutic. I always love to visit the beach, perhaps I will share some pictures of me and my friends and the beach in my next post. Cheers @jurich60.

What would your perfect weekend look like?
A perfect weekend for me would be a getaway to a private beach. There was this beach we used to visit years ago that was really secluded. We stayed in a beach house overlooking the sea and there was a path that led from the house down to the beach where we would see stretches and stretches of sand, and it would just be us alone for miles around. I'd give so much for a weekend like that right now, in that beach house with my immediate family, on a getaway vacation from the rest of the world, listening to the waves in the distance or just walking down to the beach and along the shore.
How did you come to know about blurt. And why did you join blurt?
I read about Blurt on another platform where bloggers were sharing about the platforms they built a presence on. I was intrigued and visited Blurt and I was fascinated by the fact that there was a blurtlatam community which I felt was fairly close to my home in the Caribbean, and so I was excited to be a part of that. I love to write and to blog and so I am always excited about joining communities that foster writing engagement and I was beyond excited by the prospect of interacting and even making friends with people from all over the world who have a shared interest in writing and creativity.
Who do you admire or inspires you the most in life?
I love and admire my mom who worked so hard and with limited resources as a single parent to raise me. She is such a stalwart and guiding light in my life, always standing by me even when I fall short and encouraging me to get up and try again and to do better next time. My husband and children inspire me so much. They have unlocked parts of my heart I didn't even know I had. I get up and show up every day because of them, and the one thing that drives me sometimes on really tough days is the fact that I want so much to be my best self for them.
What's the name of that favorite food you can't live without?
I am not a foodie, so my tastes are simple. I absolutely love and crave lasagne.

I'm neutral on this. I'd say it depends on your taste. Personally, I like tattoos, and I have one on my right hand that says, Ebony.
A getaway at the beach is indeed a perfect weekend. There's something at the beach that heal our body and soul, I don't know exactly but for me time at the beach is always therapeutic and refreshing.

Talking about your mom reminds me of my late mom. Mom's are a rare gem that cannot be replaced by any other person. They stand by you when others give up on you, they listen to what you are not saying more than what you are saying, they wish you the best and pay the ultimate price for you to get the best. Oh how I love and miss my mom. Interestingly, I have a simple taste too and so I always prefer light meals. Seriously though, moms are really one of a kind. They see the best in us at all times, even when we don't see it in ourselves, and they always want the best for us. Yeah! You always have the right ✅ choice of words. Yes I truly believe mom still looks over me and obviously lends me a shade. I remember on my last birthday 15th June last year, I took my pen and diary when it was exactly 12am on my birthday and i started writing ✍ a conversation between she and I as though we sat together. Trust me it brought me the needed nostalgia and peace ✌ 😌 ✨.

What would your perfect weekend look like?
I love spending my weekend with my children and husband. Though I am with them (my children) all the time because I am a stay at home mom. 😁 But a perfect weekend would be a road trip with my family to a white sand beach down the province of Cebu. Spend the day swimming and a bonfire in the evening. An overnight stay at the beach just listening to the waves and gazing at the starry skies. 🙂 Leaving the busy city life for a moment.

A perfect weekend for me will be "Taking tours around a new place with eating lots of food especially the ones I've never tried" any weekend with the slang "Allow me to enjoy myself" is my ideal weekend 😆
That favourite food will be my sweet oil rice 😋 I can't live without it... Maybe 🙄 because if I am able to leave this country, oil rice may need to be out of my food list but it will remain my best.
My sweet oil rice with touch of snails 😋😃 try not to chew your screen though.
My dream proposal scenario should be very simple but memorable, maybe a surprise take out first then a surprise kneeling down in a cool area with small sounds of music and a lovely ring that I won't stop staring at 😍😝

I love the simplicity and beauty in the way you describe your dream proposal. The dish you prepared loooks yummy! In fact, the sweet oil rice seems slightly similar to what we call pelau here in my country, and I think that's delicious as well. Are the dishes similar or am I way off?

My parents provide the most inspiration and encouragement in my life.
And then my older sister and my husband.

My parents too is one of my inspiration. They inspire to be a better person. But my mom died years ago. But her legacy lives until now.
It pays to have great parents. Cherish them because they can't be replaced at all. Elder siblings can be great motivations too except when you have one's who ain't concerned about younger ones. Thanks to God for your great family. Cheers.
