Bishop Aloysius Abangalo, Bishop of Mamfe Diocese is on a serious pastoral duty/visit in Mbetta.
It is not easy to be the bishop of a remote Diocese like Mamfe with utterly deplorable roads.
St. Therese Parish, Mbetta is in a very remote area in the southwest region of cameroon. There is no electricity nor access roads leadingto this village on the hill top. It is almost as if these people are cut off from modern society as no network/internet connection is available. But the bishops visit to this community came as a sign of hope.
Pope Francis had stated that the shepherd must learn to smell like the sheep... this then is an example for us to follow.
We hope and pray that this visit of yours will move the government of cameroon under the leadership of the 91 years old president who has been in power for 42 years to develop this community
