I and my friends from the basajan.net community held an iftar together on April 16, 2022, at rostop basajan.net. This joint iftar event is a form of togetherness to connect the relationship between community members.
We hold this kind of event once a year in the month of Ramadan, for us Muslims fasting in the month of Ramadan is an obligation that should not be abandoned. I will explain a little about fasting.
Fasting is the duty of Muslims to refrain from eating, drinking, and having sex with their wives. Muslims are advised to refrain from sunrise until sunset. Before dawn it is recommended to eat and drink first, so that the stomach is filled, and has strength for the day. After going through a day of about 12-13 hours refraining from eating and drinking, we are encouraged to immediately break the fast with something sweet.
The Basajan Community is a community that was formed in 2017 with the aim of increasing literacy, information, and communication for students. We don't have many members, only about 10 members currently interacting with each other.
During the fasting month like today, we also make a meeting with an iftar agenda together, there are many stories and stories to start this activity, including quoting money for food shopping, looking for ducks to cook, buying fruit, all of which we do voluntarily . Friends from this basajan community also do it with enthusiasm.
Until the time of breaking the fast at 18:45 we started to gather and sit together, someone prepared the dish. Someone takes care of the drinks, and various other things. My wife and I make drinks from cucumbers, because the cucumbers have a very fresh taste.
We are very happy to do it all, because all the members of basajan.net have their own busy lives, so when we gather like this it is a very happy thing. So we did it with great joy.
