It is often said that "he who fails to plan, plans to fail." No one is born a failure but what controls our life is mostly based on our mindset. There are many times an idea rings through our mind and we might feel like sharing it with someone who may likely be a friend or family rather than a stranger. These plans may range from establishing a business, buying land, furthering your studies at a higher institution, investing in a business, and so on. As you may feel like sharing your ideas with people might give you more clew for a better way to go about what you want to accomplish, you might also want to give a second thought as you do not know what outcome may result from revealing our private plans.

There are several reasons why you might choose to keep your plans to yourself and these include the following;

  1. Preventing unnecessary judgment: Sometimes, when you share your plans with others, they may judge or criticize you. This can be demotivating and discourage you from pursuing your goals.

  2. Avoiding interference: When you share your plans with others, they may try to interfere or offer unsolicited advice, which can be distracting and lead you away from your original plan.

  3. Protecting your privacy: Sharing your plans with others can compromise your privacy and security. For example, if you're planning a surprise party or a trip, sharing it with too many people can ruin the surprise.

  4. Avoiding overcommitment: When you share your plans with others, they may ask you to include them or commit to additional tasks, which can add to your workload and derail your plans.

  5. Focusing on your own goals: Sometimes, sharing your plans with others can lead to comparison or competition. By keeping your plans to yourself, you can focus on your own goals and not be distracted by others.

Overall, it's important to weigh the advantages and disavantages of sharing your plans with others and make a decision that best suits your needs and goals. If you must relate your plans, then do it wisely.
