Pollution/A Major Problem In My Area

Hello everyone
It's been a busy week for me, I haven't posted for the past few days because of the preparations we had at home. I'm happy it's finally over but we still have some visitors at home, hopefully they will leave tomorrow or next. I have really missed my account, work everyday especially when they're all elderly men and women, anyways, how are you all doing? I have missed everyone here and I'm sure most of my friends do miss me 😔😔

The questions we'll ask ourselves are;

What are the major causes of pollution in your area? Are they vehicles, industries, or just humans? Suggest ways in which this can be rectified.

Pollution has been one of the major problem we face here in Nigeria and the government are not doing anything about, though I don't have to blame the government for everything because we as an individual have an important role to play when it comes to keeping the environment clean, We don't have to blame the government for everything.

Keeping the environment clean can reduce population and as we all know that we have different types of pollution which are;

• Air pollution

• Water pollution

• land pollution

• and even Noise pollution

• AIR POLLUTION

Air pollution is the contamination of the atmosphere. And in my area many people tends to contaminate the environment by burning things. Let me not say that people here don't have the knowledge of pollution, I believe they do but ignorance has taken over them. They prefer the fastest way of disposal not knowing that what they think is faster is actually polluting the environment.

• Water pollution

I believe those in the rural areas will have a better explanation for this one especially those who go to the stream to fetch water and most of those water is being consumed by the people living there. When some people defecate close to the rive or stream and is being washed into the water, it will definitely pollute the water and it will make it unfit for people to drink. Proper cleaning of the gutter is very important, but here you see the gutter very dirty and once it starts raining, it will wash them away thereby depositing the waste where it's not needed.

The major causes of this pollutions in my area are humans. I believe the environment can't clean it's self, people leaving in it has a vital role to play in it.

If everyone will understand the importance of keeping the environment clean and how to manage proper waste disposal, the environment will not be polluted and I think it should be made know to everyone that they need to dispose their waste properly and they also have to keep their environment very clean.
