Updates on Frontend

Hi, everyone I hope you are all fine. As you all know, I was working on the alternative frontends and now I have deployed all the frontends with the latest code.

Now, the official frontend plus alternate frontends both include the same features, like the emojis added.

You can now access, Blurt Blockchain from any frontend.

Support to People Backing frontends

Every fronted being hosted requires a server to host as well the time to maintain and work along with dev support.

Dev Support

That I provided free to all two teams, blurtlatam and blurtlive ( as the third is by me only) for now as I had the bandwidth to support them. I will be supporting them as long as I can. So no money is required here.

Server and maintenance cost

We need to host the frontend somewhere and that requires a paid VPS, which is low on cost for now but may require more when we have more users joining.
So, it is the one cost we are having to keep the front end running.

Time spent on maintenance, is when we do upgrades, or any fixes, or deployments and also keep checking the server does not have any issues (not like sitting continuously but checking over time). So, it is kind of a job, and we also need to have a cup of tea and a price of bread, without which we may not survive long. In short, it's kind of a job but part-time. So, less time for main jobs.

So, the frontends and the people will be needing your support in terms of

  • Your usage of the frontend
  • Your Donations
  • Witness votes for people involved
  • Votes on people's posts involved

To sum this up, I want to ask the community how they would like to support us for monetary value.

Support Option

So, we have thought of some ways you can do it. Below are the options, you can vote for

A) Voluntarily Donations to one primary account for a frontend

In the case of blurtlatam, donations can go to @blurtlatam and in case of blurt.live, it can go to @blurt.live, in form of blurt tokens.

B) 5% beneficiary

Same accounts as above set as 5% beneficiary by default in each post. So, users do not need to send anything directly and accounts will get a small part of the transaction.

You can vote for your option below, I will add the categories.

Note: Final Decision will be made by the person or team running frontend only, but this survey is just to test what people think of this, and what is preferred for their support.

I invite @freakeao @zahidsun @imransoudagar to add up any other thing I may have missed.

All frontend owners and teams can mention if any other way they expect support for running frontends

Well, this is all for now. Thanks and keep supporting me.

The programmer's mind is the muscle.

Vote : Developers must be strong in all areas, both in finance, health and systems. Hope it's approved.

I agree to this option

Please which account will be beneficiary for tekraze.com users?

for now, it will be mine @tekraze and later it will be @techclub, as I still need to add info to that handle. Keeping separate will help me know the funding status better, also people will know.

Alright sir
Please let us know when @techclub is ready for usage.
I will be glad to contribute 5% of all my post to the account.
I will also discuss with my team to see how our community account will do same.
Thank you sir

It will be set by default so team do not need to do anything. But this is something I still need to develop

A 5% beneficiary , i want to clear one thing out. Will this be by default set for anyone using the front-end ?
If yes then can we opt out of 5% v beneficiary or it will be there.
Thank you

It is notorious that the Blockchain, our Blurt platform currently lacks Dapps that bring diversity to our ecosystem, what we users often overlook is that this development involves expenses, having a programmer dedicated to a project means having to pay a salary or maintain a contract which also involves expenses. Then it is easy that many times solutions are demanded, without knowing at what point others can contribute or not. A server, its maintenance, a Dapp implies money so I agree that all front ends should at least have some means of support, a way to generate income for future maintenance and invest in development. I vote for the 5% option to be able in the near future to make more novel, attractive implementations.

Yes I agree

I have voted for 5% beneficiary for now but i think a better alternative to that can be support in the form of delegation.
Maybe the foundation can help us with delegation and we can use that delegation to curate people using our Frontend and earn curation rewards at the same time.

Also people can volunteer and delegate to support us as well. Just a suggestion you may like or vice versa.

Thank you , i invite @zahidsun and @imransoudagar to comment on this as well.

I really appreciate the current development of blurt, especially on the alternative frontends developed by witnesses and developers.

I can't support it financially at the moment, but will continue to support it by using the developed frontend and voting some posts.

May it continue to grow and develop.

I'm very happy with every development that is on Blurt, but it seems for now I can only provide support in the form of Frontend usage, Vote for witnesses for people involved, and Votes on posts for people involved.

I hope other community members can help more with the development of the ongoing project.
