Not only that, the researchers of Bakrbi have also made kanchki fish chanachur, crushed nuts and sesame bars.

Dr. Muhammad Nurul Haider said, Kanchki is a very small and almost transparent fish of native species. The fish is found in abundance in the rivers and canals of the country. But because of the small size of the fish and the thorns, many people do not like to eat it. Young children in particular do not want to eat. But these small fish contain a lot of nutrients. For those who don't want to eat small fish, this fish chanachur and bar have been created as an alternative way for them to get that nutrition. In the study of food production made from small fish of native species, we select kanchaki fish. The fish contains essential calcium, protein and vitamin A. At present this fish is being extracted in large quantities.

Crab fish is important in controlling heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke and diabetes. We have produced six products in two different categories so that they can easily get these fish proteins, vitamins and minerals. People of all ages including children are very fond of Chanachur and Bar national food. Therefore, the products of category-1 are basically Chanachur national. Category-2 products, on the other hand, are made primarily of crushed almonds and sesame seeds (locally known as sesame seeds). In this way they will be able to take fish nutrition along with these delicious foods.

Md. Mubarak Hossain said, "We have completed the research project with the aim of increasing the required nutrients in delicious food." Small fish cuts should be chewed. Adequate amount of calcium can be found in it. On the other hand, it provides the necessary nutrients for pregnant mothers and lactating mothers.

He added that tests at the Fish Nutrition Laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries showed that Chanachur national products contain an average of 4-5% moisture, 26-30% lipids, 18-22% protein, 5% minerals, 2% fiber and 39-42% carbohydrates. . Where normal chanachure contains 12-13% protein. Bar products contain 20-22% moisture, 13-19% lipids, 13-15% protein, 12-15% minerals, 2-3% fiber and 32-34% carbohydrates.

Sesame and almond products are made from a combination of almonds, fish, sesame and molasses. The ingredients are first dried in a hygienic manner. Where fish, sesame and nuts are fried first. The fish is fried at medium temperature. The fish will be crispy. Later these bars are made by mixing with sugarcane molasses. On the other hand, Chanachur is made by mixing processed fish with Chanachur made in the market. These products made with fish do not have any fishy smell later on. The products in the zipper bag stay good for more than two months, said Nurul Haider, head of the research team.

Asked about the market price of the products, he said the price of a 25-gram peanut bar is Rs 10. So the price of a fish bar can be 15-20 rupees. Traders can earn up to Rs 600 by selling per kg fish bars. On the other hand, the price of fish chanachura will be determined by the amount of fish. The higher the amount of fish in Chanachur, the higher the price.

Fatema Haque Shikha said that if such products are produced commercially, it will be possible to distribute the nutritious small fish to all classes of consumers, which will play a special role in meeting the food and nutrition needs of a large population
