Introduction
Ever since my entrance into camp, particularly after my swearing in ceremony, I've not had time to talk about how it went or wether I'm finding the experience I'm getting here fun. It doesn't really matter how I feel though the reality is that I must stay for the three weeks wether I like it or not.
The journey so far
Well, thus came the swearing in ceremony day where we would take an oath of allegiance as a fully incorporated Corp Member for the federal republic of Nigeria.
We're going to serve Nigeria for a period of one year and receive a stipend called Allowee to assist us with minor expenses.
It's a compulsory exercise for all fresh ground under the service age which is 30. Anyone who is above 30 isn't allowed to serve and will be given exemption letter by the NYSC board.
We were sworn in by the the Chief Judge of the federation heavily represented by another judge in the country.
After the swearing in, we took pictures some of which we took with our soldiers who were not too friendly and not to harsh. We are being considered as semi civilian and semi military.
The period of this camp is for three weeks and in no time I would be leaving. So far this is what I have been doing.
