Legendary CeCe Winans ; The greatest and best-selling Gospel Solo Artiste of the time (Wikipedia).

African-American Gospel/Christian Artistes actually dominates CONTEMPORARY GOSPEL/CHRISTIAN MUSIC. Go listen well!

The 58-year-old Songstress has won 15 Grammys out of 28 nominations so far as a Christian Music Solo Artiste. She has won several other awards too.

CeCe Winans has been active musically since 1981 ; she's a close pal of the late Whitney Houston. You can imagine the combo , the influence on contemporary gospel , when these two work on a duet or collabo.

All her wins at the 2022 Grammys surrounds her expertise in Music PERFORMANCE , SONGWRITING and VOCAL DELIVERY as described as parameters by the Grammys Academy.

I can actually hear CeCe Winans influence on most Nigerian Contemporary Gospel singers. We've them in Choirs too. I see our own SINACH and others holding that award someday. She runs in Winans artistic direction.

Do note : Contemporary Gospel is different from our Nigerian traditional/classical music.
