When I was a child
I never knew there are more to Life
I envy the adult's Life
And I pray I grow up fast
When I was a child
Being forced to be educated
I just want to be like my parents
Who wake up everyday to their business
When I was a child
I believed the adults lived the best Life
Not reading for exams
Not being bossed around
When I was a child
I desire so much to grow fast
I want to be eighteen so soon
So I can enjoy as the adults do
Even before eighteen
I realized Life isn't what I think
So there are more to Life
Than being a child
I study my parents
Who go from morning to dawn
Just to feed the children
And make them educated
Now that I've grown
I weep for the adults
Life isn't easy for them
While they run helter Skelter
Just to provide a good shelter
Everything I thought
Were my own belief
Now I understand
Life is like a dam
Adulthood is a scam
When I was a child
I desire to grow fast
Now that I'm grown
I wish I'm still a child
Who gat no worries
Than to eat, drink and merry
WHEN I WAS A CHILD
When I was a child
I never knew there are more to Life
I envy the adult's Life
And I pray I grow up fast
When I was a child
Being forced to be educated
I just want to be like my parents
Who wake up everyday to their business
