THESE MEN ARE NOT GOD

Some are called to prophets; others, teachers and others evangelists and apostles. That is, all in the specie "man" has a mission to actualize. In actualizing these different mission inherent in man the participation of all is required; either as an active or passive participant. In responding to these missions therefore, unity is a tool that should be strategize to enhance successful utilization of the mandate given by Christ.
Day in day out, ministries are giving birth to as though the individual gifts of prophecy, teaching, evangelizing and the likes are mutually exclusive, incompatible and to stir up our unity in faith, as it has been in today's Christendom. The sire of many worshipping centres and ministries today is no longer for the initial traditional purpose we know the church for; but, as an investment and business enterprise. Bishop Onah Godfrey was asked a question in a conference he facilitated about the uncontrollable institutions of prosperity gospel in Africa. He made it clear as reaction to the question; that in Africa precisely Nigeria, the Christian association of Nigeria -CAN has been trying to regulate in the aspect but her efforts are to no avail as many who are the general overseers of these ministries are acquiring luxuries even more than politicians, musicians and merchants; as he categorically stated that he knows if a pastor who owns three private jet in Nigeria.
Because of the wealth acquired by prosperity preachers have influenced many to the point that a member of a denomination will arise on a fateful day and said to himself "may be there is no God in this my church let me join this one" and as such they will disfellowship themselves and go to other churches and so they continue as church prostitutes. Others will think this too "since pastors are making it, I think God is calling me" in a twinkle of and eye they become General overseers of a worship centres. Others do not stop there as they go as far as getting diabolic powers that will enable them manipulate things that will win them applauses and attract their ministries to people. Though not all are this dubious.
Come to think if this, the early reformers that break away from the church were not after all these those of our time are. I have not seen nor read anywhere in the universal church where blessed water is been sold for money; imagining a quarter litre of fuel is been sold for #5000, even ordinary polo shirt, cap, wrist-band, tag, stickers and even sand are now prayer articles.
Ministers of these business enterprises and ministries called churches are promoting indecency in our society; whereby a senior prophet as called, puts on torn trousers (crazy jean) and be ministering with such trash. The annoying and most scandalous thing I have seen in my life is of a female pastor who gave her male church member breast milk in the church; this happened earlier this year in Lagos, Nigeria. Amidst all these, their followers will be calling them "Daddy" and "mummy". Some even kneel and prostrate before these men's pictures in adoration, mystification and some pray before this pictures with all seriousness shouting;"my father, my father" and they would not agree to do that before Christ in the blessed sacrament; please these people are not God; stop accruing to them what they too cannot desire.
Many may be seeing these above mentioned as trivial dense, in years to come if Christians do not reunite in one doctrine, families will become denominations of their own with their own teachings.
Of all the religions in the world Islam, is the most internal unity attributed religion, because Muslims have a single doctrine, tradition and believe. I think if not because of the unity Christ prayed for in the Gospel of saint John 17:11, 21-22; Christianity would have been shattered to the latter long ago. As the CAN tries her very best to reunite the folds into the faith, as individuals we can make our own inputs; first, as a pastor, evangelist, and true prophet having your worshipping center with your members is nothing to be frowned at, but preach the ideal; secondly, as members note, God is everywhere, stop hawking and dicing with your faith, build your faith on a rock that little misfortune will not dismantle.
May our merciful father in heaven shows us His enormous mercy and refurbish Christianity again.
