Do we side with the hen
For wandering
Into the bush and blame the cat for preying?
Or does the eye acquit
Itself and fault the body for entering a pit?
While the hare curses fate for letting it cross
Path with the hunter, the hunter
Blames the gun for not been cautious.
At the table they'll both sit without banter.
Faults continue to soar while gores
Carved by blame refuses to heal.
We'd rather tow the path we ought to abhor
Again and again with zeal.
If in the end, we open our doors to
Forgiveness, I hope then that we
Remember to forgive ourselves also as we
Forgive others for the deeds and misdeeds.
