Politics is generally known to be a dirty game as believed by most people in the world today. What is expected within a moment may be claimed never to have occurred. Finally, the presidential election has come and gone. Though most of the youths anticipated victory for one of the presidential candidates known to be that of the labour party, Peter Obi but later got the shock of the moment to see the Presidential candidate for the All Progressive Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerge as the President-elect at the final stage of the league.
The choice we make in life at times might not come to us speedily. There is always a moment of waiting that requires perseverance for one to scale through hurdles. No matter how long a tenure can be, there is always a moment when room for another tenure will emerge. The election was expected to be free and fair but it was claimed by many voters at their respective polling units that the results were manipulated while many said the Bva machines weren't used but rather the ballot papers which gave room for manipulation.
Having collated the total votes cast and declared the winner of the presidential election, most youths are dissatisfied with the result and are in a very angry state of mind having seen that their votes never count. Lots of issues keeps arising on an hourly basis while the party agents of opposition parties and the youth are calling for reconduct of the election to take place. Despite all efforts, this is proven abortive.
From statistics and the result displayed on the above screenshot, the APC presidential candidate won the election at a cumulative total vote of 8,794,726, while PDP got a total vote of 6,984,520, LP got 6,101,553 and NNPP got a total of 1,496,687 votes.
The country had suffered lots of economic setbacks and insecurities over the years under the administration of the ruling political party (APC) and this is the more reason most youths preferred PDP or Labour party to win the general election this moment. Nigerian need competent leaders who have the interest of the masses at heart and are willing to go the extra mile to execute their good promises.
At this moment there are lots of controversies about the presidential result amidst the declaration made. We hope everything must have been tackled before the 29th may which is the date for the swearing-in of the new president. We do not pray for civil war before and after then but for God's grace and intervention. Though life at times may not turn out the way we want it to, but no matter the situation, we should keep advocating for fairness and justice and believe the situations at hand will be rectified.
One painful aspect of the democratic system in nigeria is the fact that the voice of the masses are not heard while many will rather sell their vote to a political party for a penny not minding the grievous outcome ahead. No matter the amount given to you, this doesn't constitute integrity on the part of such citizens.
We want a free, fair and credible election for the governorship coming up on the 10th of March. We all pray for the goodwill of God in all states of the federation as well, we need to embrace peaceful coexistence for a better Nigeria. Let's hope the new president-elect will make the nation better than it is.
Thank you for your time, and do have an amazing moment.
The politics that I know is not what I like the most, unfortunately I have known many politicians of very low moral quality and little ethics. It is a sad thing, because politics should be an activity dedicated to the achievement of the best objectives of each nation.
I understand the problem of elections that can be suspected of manipulation and do not really respect the will of the majority of voters.
Considering that there were accusations of wrong economic policies, the fact that the government party won is suspicious.
I can only wish that things are heading towards the best possible solution for everyone.
It's very suspicious and well rigged, but the truth of the whole matter will definitely unveil soon. Thank you for the great comment @pedrobrito2004.
Do have a wonderful day sir☺️
