i mean, sure, but what about all the precious snowflakes like magadrive ?

Does it offend you that some would prefer to mute than be trolled?

of course not

i wish magadrive would just mute lucylin and forget about it

that's what the mute function is designed for

Not sure why so many assume he didn't.

because they went a step further and started tagging all their posts with "NSFW"

which would seem fully redundant if they couldn't even see them

I'm assuming that it's likely that he for the most part has muted him and is informed from time to time by one of his team members on what is going on there. He is a busy man and I doubt that he spends all this time that Lucy and some of his followers would like us to believe.

I believe (my own assumption) that it's more likely someone else that was tagging it knowing that it wouldn't be frowned upon. I know of the two of them (mega and lucy) one of the two can't seem to go more than a few paragraphs often without mentioning the other, and the other rarely mentions the other one. We all know which one is wearing which shoes, lol.

Sometimes when you poke the bear the bear will finally stop and poke back. I'm leaning towards one of the bears associates decided to poke, especially since all of the bears associates seem to be getting poked a lot too.

Moving past the who is doing it guessing game, I will say that it is taking place on a front end level which is private property. I support the owners right to decide that shit talking about them non stop as well as everyone who is close to them is NSFW, or for that matter no longer allowing that user to utilize their interface.

Not something I would do, but I support it.

If I was the owner, I would create a new list to go with hot trending and new and call it proof of free speech and push all the shit talking posts right there for the world to see and laugh at the delusions of censorship.

But not my front end.

their inability to simply ignore what they don't like

and their insistence on on making blurt "family friendly"

is a bit of a concern

I think largely they do ignore. I'm also not as concerned on the NSFW tag. This is a front end only decision and I respect their right to choose what they feel is appropriate for it. Anyone who wishes can run their own front end that doesn't utilize such a tool, and we see some front ends that have not deployed such tools.

I know some will take the position of this being the main front end, but I don't view it that way.

Neither founder has cashed out their Blurt (or fake tokens as some seeking to belittle them call it) and have funded the front end entirely out of pocket.

In addition, in previous discussions I had with Jacob on chain he has promised he would always pay to keep the blogs going regardless of the price value.

I think this is only a concern for those who don't understand the fact this is private property and not part of the chain. Ownership of Blurt tokens is not ownership of the founders tools and sweat and I growingly see many blurring that line.

also, it would be interesting if you had to "opt-in" before one of the "front-ends" could display your writing

That would be an awesome feature for sure.
