Hello Blurt Community Members,

With this post let me share Blurt Chat updates.

How to use Blurt Chat?

Step 1. Log in

Step 2. Start Blurt Chat

  • Open Side menu
  • Tap on Blurt Chat

Step 3. Enter Private Memo Key

  • Enter Private Memo key of your account.
  • This step is required because, WhaleVault & BlurtKey doesn't provide memo key based encryption & decryption.
  • Tap twice (it's a known bug) on Save - after entering key.

Step 4 - Wait for Sync

  • Blurt Chat is syncing all the chat - since your account creation.
  • Please wait & let it finish.
  • First time it will take time.
  • Next time onwards, it will be fast as it will be cached.

Step 5 - Start chatting

  • Select existing person to chat
  • Or tap on new chat button as indicated above, search user on blurt
  • and start chatting

      you will need to use BlurtKey app on iOS
      (Similar to Hive Keychain app)
      (or just like WhaleVault on desktop)

        In Keychain settings, there is a place to add your private keys, including a memo key. I had never added it before now, because it wasn't useful for anything. Unfortunately, adding it hasn't fixed anything and I still can't log in. Logiczombie (below) says that worked for him, though, so maybe give it a try.
