Do you not think it’s a bit much? I think for ppl
Who just want to blog hive got way too confusing tbh. Your average person has no idea what this all means. Maybe a game and nfts but 3speak is strange as it’s just another blog thst does pretty much exactly the same thing as hive, well it says it’s free speech but it’s obv not as can still get downvoted. I genuinely just don’t rly get the point of most of these things. Games and nfts is the only thing I get having it’s own platform off the main one. Simple
Things tend to get mass adoption look at fb. Even for me hive was too much it’s too overwhelming having all those things ppl like to just log on and everything is simple, except for a handful of tech ppl, who don’t make enough ppl for mass adoption. That’s just my opinion. Having some games is cool but a lot of these just clutter up the blog. I don’t get why they don’t just make them seperate projects

NFTs are digital beanie babies... total garbage that add nothing to a blockchain or community. They are for investors chasing profits and hoping to sell to another investor chasing profits.
I agree with you that unnecessary complexity should be avoided. Strengthen our core, and develop additional features that add functionality to the platform without sacrificing our main ideals.

I literally jUst researched hives daily users and it’s 4k!!!! Facebook is 1.68 billion or something for comparison lol. I hve more fb friends than hive hS daily users and I don’t even try, I actively try to hVe less as my old one got to 6k so I started over to be more choosy. One viral instagrammer gets more likes than that per day. It’s absolutely dismal. I know blurt is worse but acrually it doesn’t take much to change anything. Literally one big influencer would bring more traffic than hive has altogether after 7 years. These blockchain platforms rlt rly need to re evaluate.

The other option is maybe they don’t want it that big! It’s easier to control an experiment small.

Yeah there are more FB accounts now than humans. Doesn't mean we want to be like FB. In fact, FB has been done, and a million have already tried to emulate that and failed. We would be attempt #1,000,001. FaceBook was at the right place and the right time... in 2006. Kind of like how MySpace was the right thing for 2001. Now both are washed up and people are looking for something better. We should do what FB is NOT doing, and aim to be the thing everybody has been waiting for. Star personalities and regular users will move when there's something worth moving to. The main thing FB did right that we don't have is messages.

1.6 billion is ppl logging in every day not accounts, hive has failed completely I realise this, to be getting a few thousand ppl login every day after 7 years is pathetic. I rly never knew hive was that low. Midjourney is really new and I bet it gets more daily users already. One successful influencer gets 200 k likes a day or some bullshit and the majority on hive, about 2 out of 3 users, are playing a game made by someone else. It’s most likely Only 1k ppl actually log in to blog, you could know everyone lol . Hive has less active daily bloggers than I do Facebook friends just to highlight how crazy low the numbers are and I don't even try and get any fb friends, I have 860 friend requests I am ignoring. I rly never knew it was that low till I researched. I’m not saying they need to be like fb but they are clearly just not appealing to ppl and it’s tIme the ppl who can change things accepted that and worked at it. Unless any of these blogs do something to make them more appealing I don't see them going anywhere at all tbh.

You're not really reading/understanding my comments... Not sure what the problem is.

I’mSaying, sure you want to be different to fb but they do need more users so it is silly to ignore the two most successful platforms that do the most similar to what you do and not look at what they did. I’m trying to put the numbers into perspective of how few ppl 4,000, (I honestly had no idea it was so low over on hive till I researched) , when mainstream versions have 1.6 billion active daily users. 4,000 isn’t even the interaction one fairly low grade Instagram influencer gets. If blurt wants to do well it has to look at this. I used to think it was miles off hive tbh but now I realise that one influencer could essentially make blurt MORE popular than hive. It’s made me think @world-travel-pro s open reach programme is a good idea to try and get some influencers on here and pay them / reward them. Along with an inbox which I elt tbink is missing.

My point is they are all failing. It’s not like any of them have ever gotten any kind of proper figures in 7 years so what are they doing wrong? That’s the areas where blurt can grow.

  ·  2 years ago  ·   (edited)

I think blurt should be the first to get inbox ppl love inboxing. Having it all on seperate servers is even behind MySpace which was like 15 years ago now

I think nfts have a use. They are good for in games and for digital artists who genuinely create moving digital art and don’t have other market places. The fact we all pile in is purely money. You don’t rly own anything, once it’s an nft anyone can drag it off full res and print it for free so your relying on someone buying it simply because they think ownnjnt the digital rights might go up in value. I notice a lot of artists who love it and say it helped them just couldn’t Sell work in the real world but are good online so they sold some nfts. I mean that’s fine but they should be honest that’s it was the easiest route for them not a pfefernce on the most part.

Yeah, the makers of beanie babies were happy about their invention for a while too. It really made them rich for a flash in the pan. Dutch tulip bulb growers a few hundred years ago were really happy about their idea, but who cares about that now. Even scam artists are happy about making money on what they're selling, doesn't mean the scam is really worth anything. Digital rights are fine, but JPG faces that only differ from each other by a pixel or two are pointless gimmicks. We can have digital rights without childish images and the "they are unique so I gotta collect 'em all" hype mindset.

Of course we won't have most of this, BUT just a few dapps, games and NFTs would be an absolute bonus for Blurt. This would mean alternative sign ups via other channels...

What most people don't know... The most Hive signups come from Splinterlands, NOT from Hive!!!

  ·  2 years ago  ·   (edited)

I think it should be done on a slightly different way. Hivesteem has been going for years and it still has a tiny base despite giving away free money to use it. Clearly it’s too complicated for most ppl who either don’t sign up or give up after 2/3 posts. It simply has terrible retention, all these platforms have, despite essentially paying ppl to use them lol. For whatever reason to most ppl it’s not engaging enough or isn’t appealing enough. The majority of hive users now are splinterland players. Ppl need to look more to fb as even tho o agree with @frot that all these things are cia experiments there was obviously something far more appealing about MySpace and fb than there has ever been about hive. They were designed to be addictive let’s be honest. I think perhaps ppl need to look for clues on MySpace and early fb to see where these platforms are going wrong. Even doge got more mainstream adoption than hive or steemit ever got... it was simple : I think games should be more like on fb where they are on separate pages and don’t get posted on your actual blog and I think the inclusion of an inbox rather than having to go over to discord would make all The difference actually. Ppl love moving things to messenger and not all on the blog. It also needs more engaging discussion than just nice post sir lol blurt is better at this than any I hVe been on.

People are just not interested I’ve sold it to hundreds or more creatives over my time who would love to make extra money and they either don’t sign up or made a few posts and left: my bf loves conspiracies and always on twitter etc yet came here and left within a few posts as just forgets to sign in. It’s just not compelling enough at some point we hAbe to stop blaming ppl for not staying and wonder why all these sites are not as interesting to ppl as other sites, even when they are being paid to use them.

The messenger thing is awesome! I agree with you there! We just need a developer, that will take on the challenge...

my bf loves conspiracies

There are many of those here!!!! I call them realists... xD

I think kuSt looking at why ppl got so hooked on MySpace and early Facebook it defo wasn’t dapps

I mean MySpace was awesome back in the day and I think it was that you could connect to ppl from all over the world and it was just simple and fun rly. A few photos, a wall and an inbox. I think the Mo inbox thing takes a lot of interest away tbh

Tbh if @megadrive is working on meta this is the next big thing Blockchain is done and dusted now rly the places to invest now is meta. I’ve been to numerous events with very smart ppl and that’s pretty clear. So if he does install an element of meta into this platform it could change everything.

Yes, that would be awesome!

What's meta? I hope you don't mean FaceBook!

Posted from https://blurtlatam.intinte.org

The metaverse is the next tech. I’m
Not saying it’s good but it’s the next thing coming. I guess escaping from reality further as ppl will have their own characters, you will be able to virtually meet with each other in virtual meeting rooms. It’s sort of merging reality and tech rly. It’s hard for me to explain but it’ll be next No doubt about it along with ai vr ar etc.
I think it’s dangerous to a point keeping ppl even more hooked in an online world but it will come next and then probably the chip to connect you without a phone so you can just think oh I want to meet with drutter and outofthematrix and have a chat and we will all be together virtually in a meeting room. The phone can’t get any smaller now cause of the screen so next step is a chip for sure.

Splinterlands is THE only thing keeping the hive network Working, while another group of Flaggots FAKE running a blog while Shitcoining The HBD Scam.

Blurt is way ahead 🥓

I knew that about splinterlands tho it’s somethint like 50 k users and 20 k bloggers on hive I heard. But they just spam up the place and make it worse so I don’t think it helps hive as a blog grow . The games should be slightly seperate links imo

They add massive value to the chain.

I personally disagree it’s just filled the platform with junk anyone not playing gets sick of seeing, so now most ppl are splinter land players. It’s ok seeing it if you play but no one else wants to see it. It’s also not getting any kind of mass adoption of regular ppl. They have been going 7 years now and still only have something like 20 k active bloggers and 50 k playing an online game that’s sort of connected, when paying ppl to use to the platform essentially. IMO all the social blockchain sites have so far failed pretty much and need to readdress their strategy and why they are failing. If any where successful by now they would have a million active users at least.

  ·  2 years ago  ·   (edited)

1.62 BILLION users on average visit Facebook every day And hive can’t even retain over 20,000 people to blog actively over 7 years, hive has 4K logging in and doing anything per day. That is literally nothing, one viral instagrammer gets more likes than that daily. Since a lot of those are splinterlands players that means it’s probablt about 1 k ppl logging onto hive daily. I have 6 times More fb friends than that on my old fb without trying. I only have less now cause I started over to be Moreno picky. On top of this hive and all these blogs are essentially paying ppl to use them . It’s about time they actually went to the drawing board and thought we are doing something wrong here but, but I think they’re too egocentric to do that and only want to hear hive is the best bullshit. I would like blurt to do that too because let’s be honest none of the social Blockchain platforms are anything like successful if you look at them against regular platforms.

I mean truly these numbers are embarasing. It is no where near going amazingly. It is essentially a complete failure that after 7 years they have 4 k ppl logging in every day and most of those are using a game that should clearly branch off and go on its own. I’m not saying blurt is any better but rly none of these platforms are even remotely succeeding in general figures. The fact I have more fb friends than Log onto hive each day is redic.

If hive gets another one or two splinter lands they’ll be massive

you should find a developer to make that happen

Sadly, I don't know any... 🥺

If just 2 or 3 good developers from Hive came over here, that would be a game changer.... 🍀👍

i'm sure there are very good developers out there, if you are from czech republic i think you can find @void, he is a great developer, in the past he tried about AI

hehe yeah, if so..... but who should be the developers here everytime the same guys that actually not going really forward ?

and by the way the biggest and most successful parts in the map you posted are the ones which was already there in the Steemit area I don´t know if one can count them in favor of HIVE but that´s just my opinion (for which I was slammed many times over there in Hive and Steemit).
