I have deleted the "Blurt Mobile App" and going to resubmit using different account

in blurt •  last year 

Hello Blurt Community Members,

Yes, title is correct. I have deleted the "Blurt Mobile App" from AppStoreConnect.

I clicked "Remove App" button.

and then clicked on "Remove".

App is now deleted from my Apple AppStore account.

But WHY?

  • Apple has rejected "Blurt Mobile App" (for iOS users) several times.
  • Apple is insisting to have a company account for "Blurt Mobile App"
  • Developer account which I have, is an individual account.
  • I contacted other blurt-team-members & @nalexadre came to rescue.
  • He has a company account - "IMT ASE Company Limited"
  • He has added me to his company-apple-developer-account
  • I'll be using @nalexadre's developer-account & try submitting the app one more time.

When?

  • It's been more than 4 months since we switched to PWA approach.
  • Native-app-development-branch is stale.
  • I'll have to checkout old branch & check for compile issues
  • I'll also have to remove wallet / claim section from the app to avoid any potential rejections from Apple.
  • I'll also have to bring back "Report a post", "Report a user" feature.
  • I may also need to change the name of the app.
  • Once I am done with above changes, I'll be able to resubmit the app to Apple.
  • Unfortunately, that branch doesn't have the blurt-messenger code. I'll add blurt-messenger-code to native apps later.
  • Once done for iOS, I'll also have to take care of GooglePlayStore app transfer.
  • So, It's gonna take some time. Wish me luck.

    We're already distributing blurt-ipa files using Sideloading.
    The thing with Sideloading is "No one really knows about it & even if they do, they don't want to try. They just want to download the apps via a safe-place called AppStore".
