My goal for 2023 was to hit a million BP by the end of the year, and today I passed the 800,000 milestone! Confetti and fireworks!

Where there's a will, there's a way
Can I hit a million in the next 9 months? It's certainly possible. How likely is it, though?
One potential derailment would be a personal situation that needs all my attention, and I lose a lot of income and momentum. Those kinds of things often come out of nowhere... but I'll just have to do my best and hope nothing like that happens! (We've had some of these sorts of things over the past 10 years.)
For now, it feels good to have created, curated, and invested my way to 0.8m BP!
Income Sources
Currently, I have 3 separate income sources on Blurt. Well, we all have these 3 income sources, technically.
- Creation rewards (posts and comments)
- Curation rewards
- Interest
Interest will happen no matter what. That's about 20,000 BP.
So I need to come up with 180,000 BP from post rewards, comment rewards, and curation rewards. I have 275 days left, so I need to pull in an average of 655 BP every day.
Curation rewards will get me part way there.
Currently I'm making about 2000 BP weekly in curation rewards, but that was because I had a 300k delegation from @world-travel-pro for the month of March!
From here on, I'll be down to ~1470 per week, so about 200 BP per day.
That means I need to earn an average of 450 BP in post and comment rewards every day. Some days my posts bring in 700+ BP, but I can't post every day, and they're not all winners.
So it's too early to tell! If I keep putting a lot of effort into my content, and my health holds out, and nothing unexpected demands all my time... it's possible.
It has taken me 10 years to build up to 800,000 BP, so to grow by 25% in the next 9 months is going to be an accomplishment! Cheers to all my friends, and other great Blurt people!
