Want a top Blurt curator to manage your curation and earn you rewards every day, for free? I'm already one of Blurt's biggest curators, with 550,000 BLURT powered up! My goal is to be one of the top 10 curators on this blockchain.

A note on the #1 curator, @Blurtbooster, which is owned by Blurt's founder @megadrive. See my post here for into on the voting habits of this bot, which is powered up by the pre-mined stake (created by @megadrive when Blurt was forked from Steem). I noticed while researching this post that the stake is being used to vote for witnesses - @freakeao, @saboin, @sagarkothari88, and @world-travel-pro.

A note on @mmmmkkkk311, which is owned by the same person as @mariuszkarowski and @mk-sports-token. These 3 accounts match each other's curation, so they have an effective total Voting Weight of 9 million! That makes "mk" the 2nd biggest manual curator, behind only @ctime.

A lot of the 60 accounts mentioned underuse (VP often at 100%) or overuse (VP often below 80%) their upvotes, throwing away most of their potential Voting Weight. Many of them are bots (they do not manually curate). Several seem to exist only to upvote and reBlurt 1 or 2 other users, like @shadflyfilms for @offgridlife).

That makes me about the 20th most effective Blurt curator! And approximately the 15th biggest manual curator.

In addition to being one of the biggest curators on Blurt, I am also one of the best:

  • 100% of my stake has been earned over 10 years of content-creation. None of it comes from pre-mined ("fake" or "printed") stake. I've been grinding hard to personally earn every BLURT I have.
  • I have no support from (in fact, I am held back as much as possible by) the founders/management/insiders here on Blurt. They don't like my content or my attitude. I rely on my own savings and reinvested rewards to power up my votes.
  • Private delegators (currently 2) provide me with a boost of Blurt Power to increase my curation efforts. In turn, they can sit back and relax while I earn them curation rewards every day.
  • I am honoured that about half my votes are matched by the bot @primeradue, approximately doubling those votes. For example, if I vote on 20 items in a day, about 10 of those items will receive a similar-sized upvote from @primeradue.
  • I keep near 99% voting power and use all my available votes, maximizing content rewards I dish out, and curation rewards my delegators and I receive.
  • My curation practices are legit. I don't do farming (self-voting my own banal comments) or circle-jerking (quid pro quo arrangements with other users). I manually search out and reward high-quality posts and comments by a variety of Blurt users.
  • I have more than 5 years of fulltime curation experience, 365 days a year, making me one of the most experienced blockchain curators in the world.
  • I don't power down my BP. I continue to power up more BLURT to compound my earnings. My goal is to become one of the top 10 curation accounts on this blockchain!

How to delegate some BP

If you have BP you aren't using, or you think I could use it even better, please consider delegating it to me. You maintain ownership of your BP at all times. You can withdraw the delegation at any time, for any reason. To delegate:

  • log in to your Blurt wallet
  • next to your Blurt Power, click on the small down arrow and select Delegate
  • in the "to" field, enter "drutter"
  • in the "amount" field, enter any amount of BP
  • click Next

BIG respect to the other manual curators here on Blurt! Without curation, there are no rewards, and without rewards, there is no Blurt.

DRutter

That's interesting to have a list of the top curators. Thanks for the research. I recognize some of these names :)

Yeah, lots of good people on there.
It was eye-opening to calculate that list. It doesn't exist anywhere else, that I know of. If it does... I just wasted 3 hours of research and math! Now we know who is utilizing the reward pool (dishing out content rewards and earning curation rewards) the best.

On the upside- if you consider that that are probably less than 20 creators on the entire Burt that actually publish quality content consistently (by my subjective evaluation of what quality content is), you're job isn't too difficult ! lol

Good luck, matey !

.....oh, I noticed your comments on zerohedge a while back (I am presuming it is the same 'drutter'?)

Imagine if we could create a blurt to be anything like....

Obviously with the new censorship rules on the front end of blurtblog (the main front end at the moment), it's impossible - not even zerohedge mutes mute you so that NO ONE ELSE can see even see your comments on a thread )underneath an account that's muted you).

Growth = engagement - yet the Orwellian censorship rules allows anyone to mute you - and then 'disappear' all of your comments on that thread....

Sounds like a really good plan to encourage more interactions, and growth, doesn't it?... sarc.

I wonder what the thought process was that went into that decision ?
....'I know, it'll be really great idea to make a tool to disappear any comments that the account user who posted, doesn't like ...yeah that should increase engagement and make the platform look like a ghost town, instead of busy'

....The mind boggles...

Yeah, I'm the only person who goes by drutter, although some guy tried to call his weird golf putting invention a "drutter" several years ago. (It didn't catch on.)

I still have not experienced the new "muting" on the blogblog front end. But from what I've heard, "muting" is not the right word for it. It's more like the shadowbanning we see on other sites, where the user in question can comment, but the comment isn't seen by others. Let's call it what it is, eh? Bless their hearts for trying to sugarcoat it by calling it something more benign.

I think the "thought process" going into things around here is mostly based on emotions like greed, anger, and guilt. The "leadership" here is the reason we can't grow and succeed. I have documented that nicely.

And I uncovered quite a bit more circle-jerking, farming, vote-buying, abuse of pre-mined stake, and other forms of corruption and cronyism while I was researching this post. It goes deep, and it all stems from the very top. Anyone not in the club, and especially those who uncover and speak about it, are shut out tightly. The golden goose is being strangled to death but it's their only tactic.

Nice list, I had no idea I would sit top 10 on a list like that. And probably one of the only full time manual curators at that level. And definitely the only one that spreads votes without an agenda. I vote outside of #blurtafrica also.

"I had no idea I would sit top 10 on a list like that"

Well, everyone who has been voting with a massive delegation (now 2 million+ BP for you) from the start is near the top of the list. It's not like you invested your own money here. You are voting and earning with the pre-mined stake.

You also get a LOT of votes from the founders and other insiders.

And you get a 100% upvote from @practicalthought (another account using more insider BP) on every single comment you make, most of which are complete spam, such as literally hundreds of back-to-back comments consisting of nothing but the same image:

You are definitely not a good curator.

"full time"

I did notice your VP was sitting idle at 100% when I ran my calculations.

"I vote outside of #blurtafrica"

Were you asked to focus your voting within Africa, or was that your own idea? There isn't even a tag for America, or North America - that would be considered exclusionary or racist. I've never voted on content because of where it came from geographically - I only vote on content based on its merit.

You should not be proud of what you're doing here.

This is a very interesting response.

So let me get this straight.

  1. Because I have a primary focus for a curation project that I don't vote on good content and it is discriminatory?

  2. Because of who my delegation comes from you assume that it is pre-minted stake. Jacob bought a lot of his bp to help build the price in the first year. And should that sit idle while he is working on other projects?

  3. You also assume that I haven't bought any blurt also which you are wrong about.

  4. Just because I have a curation focus and project which happens to help a lot of new and developing content creators my vote has been spread far and wide. I created my own project and my own direction no one tells me what to do. It comes from an interest base in what I want to read about and also a connection to my real world community. Any post with a focus on Africa that is original and interesting will get a vote no matter where the poster comes from or their color. I actually find a lot of bad and fake content that is voted on by other projects and I help to bring that forward and address it.

  5. Putting a brand to my curation has helped create connection and recognition which has made for more interactivity and connectives which is what this is all about. Call it spam if you want we can always debate the merit of that. I also do not self upvote my comments or ask people to vote for them.

  6. So as someone who creates quality original content with my posts just because of who votes for me I should live in shame now?

You know I really understand much of what you talk about in terms of the problems with this community and I agree with a lot of it, but not everyone who is voted for by the foundation automatically someone who should be shamed by those with your point of view.

I have not been here since the beginning I have been here since April 2020. Up until the last month and a half I spent countless hours each day curating and posting original content. Just because now I have a fresh family and managing a beach resort full time and my BP got close to 100% I am not doing a good job? Guess what my BP gets close to 100% almost everyday and then I vote again down to at least 80% that is a pretty poor judgement based upon what time you may have checked you bp.

You can even check the stats and look at facts if you wish:
13162 Votes on 1067 different authors, account has 13162 votes in total.

You can be upset at how blurt is going but it does not mean you need to lash out at other people working in it as well. I did not beg for my delegation I got it because my efforts were noticed when I started and my sense of community here.

Hows this for good intentions @outofthematrix ..

This sucks... I like them both... 😌

You have not got it straight. I accuse you of not being a good curator. You had an emotional reaction and tried putting words in my mouth to defend yourself.

You also post garbage comments (the same image over and over, and begging for more support), which receive insider votes. You concentrate your voting to one continent. Your reaction shows that you feel shame, but that comes from yourself.

If you want to reply to what I say, reply to what I say.

Well, I guess I am guilty of this too my old friend... I do this with my curationcoconut votes... This is actually the biggest motivation for me, doing this curation job... To be able to promote myself... 😕🤷‍♂️

I realized I should not have even responded to him. Opinions are like ass holes everyone has one and they all stink.
