If you have a damp hair , their is every tendency that your hair will break , so if you want to stop hair damage , avoid combing it if it is damp.

When your hair is nearly dry, that's the ideal moment to brush it. Depending on the texture of the hair, this could change. For example, dry brushing curly hair could cause greater damage. If you truly can't resist combing through your damp hair, use a wide-tooth comb rather as a brushes. If you comb your hair carefully, a tooth comb can be kinder on your scalp and hair follicles.

Instead of rubbing, squeeze wet hair with a towel:

Wrap it around your head or long hair and dab to remove moisture. Using a towel to rub your hair might cause breakage and tangles.

Keep your scalp hydrated and protected:

Particularly when the air is dry, you over shampoo, or your scalp is exposed to the sun, it can become quite dry.
Use caps , hats or sunscreen to give your scalp a maximum protection while you are under the hot sun, if you are in your house and the hair there is dry , you can use a humidifier , and a moist shampoo instead of a regular one.
If your scalp has become dry and flaky, use a deep conditioner as needed.
