Launch from Dhaka to Kuakata via Patuakhali
In these launches, it costs Rs 800 to Rs 1,000 to rent a first-class single cabin, Rs 1,800 to Rs 3,500 for a double cabin, and Rs 200-300 for a deck. The launches go to different terminals in Patuakhali. It is convenient to go to the launch that goes to Amtali Ghat or Patuakhali Launch Ghat.
Kuakata beach is about 18 km long. Beautiful views of sunrise and sunset can be seen on Kuakata beach. Coconut orchards located on more than one and a half hundred acres of land next to the beach which is known as "Coconut Kunj". After this there is another huge forest Chargangamati. The forest includes chaila, keora and karai gardens. There is a beautiful lake in the middle of this huge garden. There is a forest department garden at Lembur Char, 5 km west of Kuakata beach. There are karai, gewa, chaila and keora trees in the forest. Tourists come here. To the east of the mouth of the Andharamanik river is Lembur Char and to the west is the vast forest of Fatra Char. Although the garden is geographically located in Barguna district, tourists visiting Kuakata travel there by trawler for recreation. Shutki Palli is located 6 km west of Kuakata beach. More than 50 traders make dried fish in the winter season. Tourists flock to see fresh fish cut and dried. Khuta sees fishermen hunting for hilsa and fighting for their livelihood. See the unique scene of fishing different species in the fence net. Tourism Holiday Homes and Restaurants of the Tourism Corporation, state-of-the-art post bungalows of the District Council and LGED have been set up for the convenience of the tourists. In addition, many residential and food hotels have been set up under private management. The government-run Rakhine Cultural Academy, the Rakhine Women's Market, as well as traditional wells and Buddhist temples. There are plans to set up an ecopark and airport at Gangamati in the Kuakata tourist area. Work is also underway on a master plan for the development of Kuakata.
