Bee’s………………🐝
I was hiking past my neighbors Bee hives, and I thought I would take a closer look…………..
With the cooler temperatures the last few days Silvertop was feeling a bit braver around these Bee hives!☺️
If you remember from a previous post, I am seriously allergic to bee stings!🙄
Surely they are starting to hibernate by now!……😇
As I pulled out my iPhone to snap an up close and personal photo, I heard buzzing circling around my head!😮
Hmmm……………..
I see, not quite hibernating yet!
I snapped a couple of photos, and quickly backed away!
Take a look at the first photo, that is what they call a “Smokepot” or simply a “Smoker”.
Adam, my Neighbor “Suits up”, and lights this smoker, to calm the Bees!😇
Adam the Bee keeper, and his Father Mike, live down the road from Silvertop’s house. The other week Liz and I stopped to chat with Mike as we hiked.
Almost instantly a Bee was flying circles around Liz!😳
She started to swat at it…………..
“ Careful, careful, don’t hurt Adam’s Bee’s!” 😇
“ Mike, tell Adam’s Bees that the Mrs isn’t a flower Lol…”🤣🐝
Soon this Bee lost interest in Liz, and continued on its search for something sweeter!☺️
For the moment, Silvertop will give the Bees their space, and hike the trail over by our local family of Bears!🐻
They are much more interested in Apple’s……. at least for now Lol!😇
