Welcoming the harvest!🤗
It’s amazing how fast the days are passing……..😇
I decided to check out the harvest up at the garden by our hiking trailhead.
This garden is lovingly worked by Keith and Lynn, our neighbors at the top of our old logging road!😊
If you remember my post a while back about our neighborhood street party and salmon dinner, it was also hosted by Keith and Lynne !😊
October 2nd , I guess Silvertop lost track of the days somehow Lol!😇
I passed a colorful “Welcome” stone at the entrance to the garden, and slid the latch on the entrance gate open…………..
Large full bunches of grapes were hanging low on the vine, along with some local Bees that were also enjoying the harvest! 🐝
Apples, red and juicy, filled the trees!
I opened the greenhouse door, and I could feel a wave of heat escaping………..
The Tomatoes look like they are doing well.
You could tell that Keith and Lynne have been steadily harvesting the gardens, bounty!
Liz clocked the mileage from this garden to the top of the hill, where Keith and Lynne have their home.
This is also where we had the neighborhood party.
This steep road has three very tight switchbacks, and the mileage clocked at 7/8 of a mile long!😳
All this land is recorded as a “ Stewardship Forest”.
Someday, hopefully in the far off future, generations will be able to come here and enjoy the forest!😊
Silvertop is doing that today………..😊😇
