Slow Your Roll Man! 🐸
“ Silbertop, dis road dangerous for little frogs, I talk to Gary Gisler, have ALL cars banned! “🐸
“ Hmmm…….. I really don’t think that would work PEPE Lol! “ 😇
With the weekend here there really isn’t any reason to rush ……………
The Mountains, and the tall trees of the forest aren’t going anywhere…….
Logging for better or worse is a thriving industry in the Pacific Northwest.
When done properly, and with the replanting of fast growing Douglas fur, and Western red cedar, this industry provides much needed lumber for homes!😊
Westergreen is a local logger that takes care of the forest AFTER he logs………….
He replants much more than he harvests each year. Each forest section is dated and monitored, ensuring they are healthy and that they successfully grow to maturity!😊
Unfortunately, you always have that one bad apple in a bunch!🙄
Take a look at the fifth photo in my post.
Many years ago this tree was damaged by steel cables wrapped around this tree. Cables and pulleys are used to pull large logs up hills to waiting trucks.
This old tree survived, many do not…….
Our neighbors had a logger illegally, use one of their trees for this purpose, and had to take them to court for a restitutions!🙄
The next two photos are trees that were replanted AFTER logging!😊
As PEPE and Silvertop hike through these beautiful mountains, I need to remind myself that all these trees on today’s trail were replanted by someone years ago…………………
One at a time by hand!😅
“What do you think PEPE!”🤗
“Dis be nice Silbertop! “ 🐸
“Yes it is my green friend! “
Happy Weekend everyone, till tomorrow Silvertop Mike 😊

I do love our trees, here in Western Washington! It's always sad to come across a new clear cut... but at least they are not cutting old growth forest, it's managed land.
Greetings and Bright Blessings from down on the Olympic Peninsula!
Awesome to run across someone on the western side of the cascades!
It is sad to see clearcut, one time we took a road trip along the scenic western side of Washington state only to be so disappointed....🙄
